Camp Cultivation takes on its first NASCAR race!

Whew, what a weekend we had! Camp Cultivation took on its first NASCAR race!

After much anticipation, we traveled to Richmond, Va, from Danville, Va, in style, taking more than 30 students to attend their first NASCAR race.

We started the day at Sim Seats located in Richmond, touring their facilities and learning about Iracing simulators, manufacturing, and business from Managing Director Zach McAfee. The students also had the opportunity to drive simulators. Then guest speaker Darrell Booker, Corporate Affairs Specialist of Microsoft, delivered an exceptional speech and a lesson in motorsports marketing and STEM in motorsports.

After enjoying lunch at the food truck provided by Four Chambers Catering, we headed to the track!

We arrived to walk the Toyota Experience VIP red carpet and then to Pit Road! We finished the day off walking on Pit Road to meet drivers, then the kids lined up for autographs from NASCAR’s Wendell Scott Trailblazer winner and driver Rajah Caruth and watched his debut in his second Truck Series race.

It was an experience they will never forget.

We want to take a moment to thank our corporate sponsors and volunteers, without whom none of this would be a reality.
